The National Programme “Capacity for Cohesion” – managed by the Department for the Cohesion Policy and the South – is based on a strategy that integrates support and administrative capacity-building actions targeted at the various actors involved in European cohesion policy, all aimed at improving the overall performance of the system.
The two main actions of CapCoe – the recruitment plan for cohesion policy management and the Territorial Services Centre, a set of technical and specialized support tools and services to accompany the entire life cycle of co-financed projects – are aimed at local authorities in Southern Italian regions. However, the National Programme also includes capacity-building actions directed at local administrations in the rest of the country and national administrations involved in implementing cohesion policy.
This integrated approach will be at the heart of the talk “NP Capacity for Cohesion: an integrated strategy to improve the use of EU funds”, scheduled for Monday, May 19, during which, together with the Managing Authority of the Programme, Alessandra Augusto, updates will be presented on the recruitment plan, the Territorial Services Centre, and the tools made available to all Managing Authorities of co-financed Programmes through the PRigA Technical Secretariat, with the aim of building a strong community throughout the entire programming cycle.
To attend the event, registration is required on the dedicated page of the FORUM PA website.
On the topic of interventions to strengthen public organizations and ensure higher quality spending of European funds, on Tuesday, May 20, Riccardo Monaco, Coordinator of the Office for Strengthening Administrative Capacity for Cohesion Policy, will take part in the roundtable discussion “Administrative Capacity and EU Funds”, as part of the session dedicated to building new administrative capacity.
The NP Capacity for Cohesion 2021–2027 will be present throughout the three-day event at the stand of the Department for Cohesion Policies and the South of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, with communication activities aimed at the general public and public administrators.
